After watching my wife take a photo a day and post about it in her project 365 last year I have succumbed to the pressure and started one myself. The deciding factor was to do with this year being a leap year, I figured that 365 photos just wasn't challenging enough and I should take advantage of the extra day this year to really challenge myself :-P So, welcome to my Project 366.

Day 177: Purrrfect Perch
Stupid cat. I guess this will teach me for leaving the ironing board out, Daisy decided it was the perfect spot for a little cat nap. This wouldn't bother me if she didn't leave black fur all over the ironing board and the vast majority of my shirts weren't white.
I guess I can't blame here for choosing this spot for a snooze, it's elevated as cats tend to like and even better that that; I positioned it directly under the reverse cycle aircon so it's in a very warm place on this cold winter night. Perhaps not so stupid cat after all.

Day 100: Did You Miss Us?
We spent another morning looking at display homes today, this time at Liverpool on our way out of Sydney. We looked at a different company's homes with a bit of a Japanese influence, they all had Cloak Rooms near the front door and I really liked the idea. The rest of the houses didn't really compare to our favourites made by Rawson though. After cruising our way through six display homes we decided to grab some lunch and head back to Sunny Canberra. It was quite cold when we arrived.
After our few nights away from home we were greeted with much higher than usual levels of affection from our little feline, I think she missed us. It's not really surprising though, she only had the grumpy old cat for company in our absence and I'd sooner stab myself with plastic cutlery than be stuck in isolation with that cranky old cat.
It's nice to be home after a few days away and even nicer to know I don't have to go to work tomorrow either. I do like these short weeks, taking the extra day off tomorrow means I've only got a 3 day week to contend with before my next weekend.

Day 59: The Good Cat
Short on ideas for today's photo I decided to take advantage of what was at hand, namely Daisy the cat. Daisy is an odd cat, I don't think she's ever really liked me that much. It's more a tolerance thing we have between us, I tolerate her incessant and exceptionally loud mewing at the door to be let in, out and back in again while she tolerates me chasing her around the lounge room from time to time just because I'm bored.
Of the two cats that impose on us every day, Daisy really is the better behaved one. She never misses the litter tray, never sheds clumps of fur on the clean washing and almost always comes when Belinda calls her in for the night.
It wasn't always this way, she was a feral kitten to begin with and earned the name Crazy Daisy with her antics. There was one time we came home to find a whole roll of kitchen towel unravelled on the floor of the kitchen, and there was a stage she went through where she'd casually walk along a narrow shelf swatting anything that was in her way onto the floor... and I won't go into too much detail about the Nail Polish incident but let's just say that iridescent green doesn't come out of light coloured carpet very well. At least she was obsessively well toilet trained from the first day.
Today I found a use for her that didn't involve selling to the local bakery as pie filling... She has become blog fodder and that is handy when there's not much else to say. Good kitty, you can stay a little longer.
