After watching my wife take a photo a day and post about it in her project 365 last year I have succumbed to the pressure and started one myself. The deciding factor was to do with this year being a leap year, I figured that 365 photos just wasn't challenging enough and I should take advantage of the extra day this year to really challenge myself :-P So, welcome to my Project 366.

Day 278: Dinner With Friends
Robbie and Damon popped over for dinner tonight. Unfortunately, due to the roughly 4 hour trip between our place and theirs, it's not that often that they can just drop in. I think that because we don't get to catch up all that often it means that when we do, we tend to make the most of it. We always enjoy their company, the conversation and more times than not quite a few drinks, tonight was certainly no exception. It's a shame I have to work tomorrow as everyone else has the day off... I think I'd really prefer and probably appreciate a sleep rather than getting up to go to work.
My photo today was taken post dinner, I'd forgotten to take a photo all day and then with our visitors over it kind of slipped my mind until it was pretty late.

Day 182: Pretty Ball
Art's funny sometimes... you can see something a hundred times without actually noticing stuff about it.
Deep hey?
Today, while we were out in the freezing cold with Robbie, Damon, Jenna and Henry, Belinda pointed out the different colours in big suspended ball at the National Gallery. I come past here pretty regularly and see this sculpture every time and I had never noticed the greens and oranges in what I previously thought was a big, grey, chicken wire ball. Maybe it stood out more in the afternoon sun with the clear blue sky today... or maybe Belinda's just far more observant than I am.

Day 181: A Little Help
This is Pete busily wiring up all the bits of my Chinese Hot Hands kit that will keep my hands toasty and warm without turning my bike into a fireball on the side of the road, it's handy having a mate who can help you out on a Friday night like this. It didn't take too long and all I have to do over the weekend is put it all back together again now that the wiring has been done and tested.
In other news, Robbie and Damon arrived for the weekend tonight. I've been looking forward to getting my pyjama top back since I left it behind when we visited them a few months ago. Of course I'm also looking forward to catching up with Robbie and Damon again too.

Day 29: It's been a while...
Lamb chops on the Barbie... is there anything better? I've just started salivating again at the thought.
Over the weekend we had our friend Robbie come down from the mountains for a visit, Robbie's a vegetarian and dinner required Eggplant and Zucchini to be barbequed. This prompted a quick trip down to the servo for a swap-n-go gas bottle, the Barbie's been out of action for a while.
Having the new gas bottle christened with a vegetarian dish just didn't seem right to me so tonight I had to set things right. It was straight down to the supermarket for a tray of forequarter for dinner... I was in my own little Lamb lover's paradise.
Robbie's visit was great by the way, it had been ages between catch ups... We love Robbie despite her Vegetarian persuasions, thanks for the visit and don't leave it so long next time :)
